Lawyer & Mediator
Kate launched her client-focused, rural law practice, after a 20 year management career in the public sector. Completing her Juris Doctor Degree with Distinction at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Law, Kate was called to the bar in 2020.
Kate understands that navigating the legal system can be overwhelming and daunting. Whether her clients are buying their first home, completing their will, administering the estate of a loved one, or navigating a relationship breakdown, Kate is skilled and focused on helping them through it - carefully, thoughtfully and cost-effectively.

Kate is an active volunteer in the Athabasca community. Her affiliations include the Athabasca Cares Community Housing Society, AIRSS Refugee Sponsorship Society, LTIS Reading Club, Athabasca Jackrabbits Ski Program, Rapids Swim Club, Athabasca Flips Gymnastics Club, and Words Work Literacy Society.

Kate loves backpacking and travelling. Her favourite hikes are in Jasper and around Athabasca's Muskeg Creek Trails with her husband and two sons.
Angela Ings
Real Estate Conveyancer
Angela was born and raised in Athabasca and brings valuable knowledge of the region and the community to her work at Kate Nunn Law. Angela plays a key role in maintaining the firm’s reputation of excellence in the Athabasca real estate market. Prior to working in the legal field, Angela worked at Athabasca University for 10 years and spent valuable years at home raising her children.

Angela enjoys gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
Megan Bergey
Legal Assistant
Megan and her family recently moved to Athabasca County from Edmonton to follow her husband's career with the RCMP. Megan has worked in various administrative positions since 2011 and enjoys being a part of a team that helps individuals achieve their unique goals.
After graduating with a Diploma in Business Administration, Megan continued seeking opportunities for growth by pursuing a Diploma in Correctional Services.

In her spare time, Megan enjoys being outdoors and long-distance running. She is kept busy with her two sons, her husband, and their energetic black lab, Jackson!
